HO! HO! HO! And to All a Good Night!

Marcie here. Yeah, I'm still working at the community college advisor's office. Same-o, same-o. I'm busier than ever, too. And now, guess what?
My boss is getting in the Christmas spirit, big-time, but he wants us to do the work. So of course, he decided to have me take care of decorating the office, "Since girls are so much better at this sort of thing..." And, of course, I'm the only staff member of the female persuasion.
So instead of working on the term paper that's due Friday, here I am trying to figure out how to decorate the office for Christmas. Boss Man wants Santa Claus and a Christmas tree painted on the windows! I can only imagine what he'll want next: eight tiny reindeer?
If only I had thought of Walls Need Love, I wouldn't have gone into such a tizzy. A Santa wall decal and a Christmas tree wall decal would have been just the thing.
"You did such a nice job with that calligraphy, I figured you could draw too," declared the naive old so-and-so. You'll be proud to note that I didn't bash him over the top of his peaked little head. A jolly old elf he's not.
Nightmares of Christmas Past haunted my sleep. I'm losing weight (kind of a good thing) and have dark circles under my eyes (NOT a good thing).
In elementary and junior high school, I dreaded those holiday art projects that the teacher insisted on displaying for all to see. In my case, she displayed them for all to laugh at. Hysterically.
My reindeer always looked like dogs and cats with sticks poking out of their heads. My Santa looked sort of like a lopsided balloon complete with a straggly cotton ball beard and black dots for eyes.
How did they ever get those beards to look good? I'd pull out the cotton and fluff it up, smear on the glue, and pray. Most of the cotton ended up on my fingers. A few strands stuck where they belonged.
Poor Santa. It looked like the old guy had been attacked by moths. A few straggly white strands managed to cling to his face, and that was all. I guess all the Christmas Eve sleigh rides with snow and ice pelting his face takes its toll on 'Ol Saint Nick after a while.
So how am I supposed to come up with a painting for the windows? Painting and I don't get along, believe me. I am not even going there.
Alone in the office, I gazed up at the beautiful calligraphy painted on the walls (courtesy of Walls Need Love custom text tool decals). To comfort myself, I decided to go online to their website. Maybe I'd find some inspiration.
Lo and behold . . . they have Christmas wall decals! With trembling fingers I clicked on the link. There was the jolly old elf himself, in all his cheery glory. Along with lots of other choices! What to my wondering eyes should appear but two kinds of Christmas trees that soon can be here!
Quick as a prancing reindeer, I chose a Santa wall decal and a Christmas tree wall decal. Our windows will be ready in no time. Look at that . . . the clock says it's time to go home. Aah, to sleep, perchance to dream.
